Technology in Education; Are Wii There Yet?

Sep 30, 11:49 AM

Greetings,

How many sleeps until destination Osage Beach? For my three-year old, time is now counted in the number of sleeps as he doesn’t quite get the concept of a day or week. Even if I say we’re going to the cottage in four sleeps he doesn’t quite understand. He just wants to be there. “Are we going to the cottage now?” “Are we there yet?”

Is it possible that, in terms of integrating technology in the classroom, we will never get there? Is this the journey that never ends? Where is there? What are kids really saying when they are in the backseat asking if we’re there?

I will be presenting this session with a focus on changing the destination of where we are going with technology in classroom by reframing how we are going to get there. This will be an exciting time of learning and reviewing practical research that affects every classroom teacher that aims to integrate technology in the classroom.
